At the end of the summer holidays, 34 Somerhill children and a team of 6 Somerhill staff ventured to the Isle of Wight for an action-packed adventure on the water. Although they were initially presented with wet and wild weather, this soon cleared up and they were greeted with beautiful blue skies and calm seas.
Over 4 days, children learnt how to sail a dinghy and a windsurfer and experienced sailing on a 26ft keelboat. They also worked together to build a raft and explored the marina on a SUP. In the evenings, team games were followed by a long walk along the Esplanade and, on the final night, a disco.
What a great experience!
