Year Three had a fun and educational experience at their Stone Age Workshop this week, enhancing their history learning. ‘Flint,’ the presenter, brought an extensive collection of Stone Age artifacts, demonstrating tools, weapons, animal skins, and clothing. The children explored Stone Age skulls, comparing Homo sapiens’ larger brains to Homo erectus.
The boys and girls actively engaged with the artifacts, with some dressing up and handling larger weapons. The highlight of the day was the mammoth hunt, where teamwork prevailed in capturing the creature causing chaos on the lawns. It was an enjoyable day for everyone, making our Stone Age topic come to life!
