Last week, our Kindergarten children focused on mushrooms. They went for a walk looking for mushrooms with “Clive”, the Lego man who likes to have a photo taken next to interesting things. They carefully picked some mushrooms to make spore prints to identify them. Back at Saplings, the children used the wax leaves they made last week, as well as the conkers and the shells they collected, to drill holes to make autumn decorations.

In Nursery, the children explored the sweet chestnut trees, comparing them with the sycamore trees they looked at last week. They looked at the leaves, seeds and trunks, describing the colours, shapes and how they feel.
