The 2022 Somerhill Ski Trip was a tremendous success with seventy children and nine staff skiing in Claviere, Italy, during the Easter holidays. Pupils and staff experienced the best of spring skiing with a combination of warm summer-like sun and fresh snowfall during the week.

Although skiing mostly in Claviere, the group also made the most of their Milky Way ski pass and skied from both Sestriere and Montgenèvre, in France, on different days.

“It was great to see the improvement in skiing, especially from the beginners, who skied up to seven hours a day. The après ski activities of skidooing, crepe eating, pizza eating, karaoke singing and pyjama drama performing (a Somerhill tradition on most overnight trips where a talent show is performed by the children for their peers), were greatly enjoyed by all.” – Mr Shute
