A day of remembrance and prayer, commemorating the men and women who sacrificed their lives for our country. This year’s service was recorded and live streamed directly into the pupils’ form rooms.

“We meet to remember those who have given their lives for King or Queen and Country; to remember those who mourn for loved ones lost; to honour acts of gallantry and courage, and to pray for peace.”

“At this time, we think about some special words, which are written on an inscription at the military cemetery at Kohima:

  When you go home,

            Tell them of us, and say:

            For your tomorrow

            We gave our today.

God grant to the living grace, to the departed rest, and to all people peace.”
