Our two Kindergarten classes joined together to perform a wonderful nativity play. The children made their teachers and families incredibly proud as they lifted their voices and sang their way through the traditional story, starting with Mary’s visit from the angel Gabriel, through the long journey to Bethlehem to find no room at the inn, and Jesus’ birth in a stable provided by some kind innkeepers.
Mary was very expressive and brought a smile to everyone’s faces. Some shepherds visited with their enthusiastic sheep and so did some fine kings with their camels. The cast looked perfect in their costumes: we had one donkey, two cows, three camels and four sheep! There were some beautiful angels and some very twinkly stars to fill the sky. It was lovely to see the confidence of the performers who had remembered the songs and actions and (mostly) remembered when to move around the stage. Congratulations to our fantastic Kindergarten performers!
