This week, Year 6 children continued the tradition of hosting a café for the staff in aid of the charity ‘Médecins sans Frontières’. With generous food and drink donations from parents, the children worked collaboratively and prepared delicious French treats. Staff rose to the challenge of speaking in French to provide a ‘real-life experience’ for pupils.
Pupils researched the chosen charity and shared fascinating French trivia for the staff to enjoy at each table. This ‘all-hands-on-deck’ event is truly a whole-school community effort, and the French department is very grateful to everyone for playing their part in making it happen – We can’t wait for next year’s cafés!
