As the finale to SPP’s belated Book Week celebrations, SPP gathered in their classes on the courtyard for a wonderful parade of costumes. Pre-School and Reception had been using Handa’s Surprise by Eileen Browne as the inspiration for their week so they were met with a whole assembly of stunning African animals, including stripey zebras and beautiful parrots. KS1 had been using Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak as their focus and so the Maxes donned their crowns and the wild things roared their terrible roars and showed their terrible claws. It was such an exciting way to end the week and celebrate our love of books.
