On Thursday 19th September, Years 5 and 6 enjoyed their first exciting author visit of the year. Carnegie Medal-nominated writer Christopher Edge visited Somerhill to give a dynamic and engaging talk about his fantastic new book, “The Black Hole Cinema Club.”
The children were enthralled by his exploration of the films that inspired the story, and then took part in a series of interactive team challenges, solving clues within movie clips to release book characters back into the real world. Christopher also signed copies of his novels and chatted to the children individually, and it was wonderful to see how inspired they were to go home and dive straight into their new books!
