It is a great tragedy that across both the First and Second World Wars, 107 Yardley Court boys and teachers lost their lives. Their names are recorded on the Roll of Honour, on the entry to the Garden of Memory.
As a school, we promised their families and friends that we would remember them, and so each year, we read out one third of the names so that each name is recognised every three years.
They shall grow not old,
As we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn,
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning
We will remember them.
