IAPS National Swimming Championships

Saturday afternoon (8th June) saw Emily T (Year 6), Esme L (Year 5), Amelia C (Year 5), Amelia S (Year 5) and Matilda P (Year 5) compete at the IAPS National Swimming Championships, hosted at the London Aquatics Centre.

Our girls swam brilliantly in the heats, with Emily, Matilda and Amelia C all qualifying for the individual finals. Our Year 5 girls also qualified for the U10 freestyle relay final after a fantastic team swim in the heats.

Emily finished a hugely impressive 4th in her U11 50m fly final and the U10 relay team won bronze in their freestyle relay.

With thousands of pupils entering the swimming IAPS via the regional rounds throughout the country, these achievements are outstanding and a true reward for all the hours of training the girls have put in.

Thank you to Mrs Whitlock for taking the girls on Saturday and to both Mrs Whitlock and Mrs Marples for all their coaching.
