Grasmere and Marques teamed up to host a sunflower growing competition for the third House charity event of the academic year, raising hundreds of pounds for Hospice in the Weald.

Pupils from Years 3 to 8 bought and planted their seeds during one of their breaktimes, to then take home and grow.

Towards the end of the term, pupils will be invited to submit the height that their sunflower has reached and certificates and small prizes will be awarded for the tallest plants. We can’t wait to see whose sunflowers will grow into prize winners!
