Our Year 2 School Council members visited Barnes Lodge Care Home enjoying board and card games with the residents. The children taught their new friends how to play Uno, Top Trumps, and Boggle, demonstrating exceptional kindness, care, and patience.
“I had the best time playing dominoes with Mary and Alfie,” shares Chloe, while Samuel recounts, “I finished the puzzle with Margaret. She was really good at puzzles.”
“Margaret didn’t know how to play Uno, but we showed her how,” Penny and Ella proudly pronounced. Rex added, “I enjoyed playing dominoes with Angela; she was very good!”
These interactions embody some of our core values at Somerhill and serve as a poignant reminder of the significance of fostering ties within our broader community
