Saturday night saw over 100 Somerhill parents and staff celebrating at the school’s traditional Burns Night. Guests were welcomed into the Mansion Hall to the sound of piper Peter’s impressive bagpipes and, following a Champagne reception, guests ascended into the beautiful, candlelit Grand Salon.

The haggis itself was celebrated with a piped tour of the room, a spirited rendition of Burns’ Address to a Haggis and a dram of whisky! A delicious four-course meal followed courtesy of our brilliant catering team at Somerhill. Later, dancing shoes were donned, and the Mansion Hall was filled with laughter, spinning, and stamping feet to the tunes of ‘Bowstring’ band! Thank you to everyone who was involved in organising the event, and to everyone who came and embraced the Scottish spirit – Slàinte Mhath!
