We have an active Parents Association at Somerhill which welcomes all parents and/or guardians. We host lots of fun events throughout the year for children and their families. Any money raised is donated to the school and nominated charities. Our two main fairs, summer and Christmas, are fun and relaxed afternoons for the whole school that raise funds for school projects and charities. Other events we put on are solely about getting together socially.

We are always delighted to hear from parents who want to get involved. There are three ways you can help:

1. Join the SPA main committee team. We meet monthly and plan events. As well as general roles, there are specific jobs such as PR coordinator, financial controller, class rep coordinator.
2. Join an event subcommittee. You can get involved in events without being on the main committee. We always need help to run them.
3. Be an extra pair of hands. If you don’t fancy joining a committee but would still like to get involved, you can join our list of volunteers who help us in the run-up to events.
