Year 1 children had a fantastic day exploring the safari animals at Port Lympne recently. They were lucky with the weather and enjoyed wandering the beautiful park in the sunshine.
Shortly after arriving, the children listened carefully to Charlie (a tiger keeper) give his talk. The children have been learning about tigers during their India topic and increased their understanding of the topic by asking questions and sharing their knowledge.
After lunch, they travelled across the site in a safari truck, listening to facts about Indian and African animals from the safari tour guide. They saw many incredible animals and the children were lucky to end the day with goodie bags to take home.
