Somerhill celebrated the marvellous world of books and reading on Friday, as the children and staff dressed up as their favourite literary characters for World Book Day.
Children and staff used their ingenuity to showcase a huge variety of books. Costumes included wolves, wizards, oompa loompas, Gangsta Grannies, knights and even Captain Underpants. We were lucky to be able to welcome authors Ross Welford and Tanya Landman, and William Grill (Illustrator), for a series of workshops, where the children learnt about writing and illustrating techniques.
