On Saturday, 27th January, 5 Year Eight boys and 10 Year Six girls attended Bede’s Senior School for the 2024 Galactic Challenge.
The challenge was to design a futuristic low orbit space station in 2054. Our pupils were split across a number of teams along with children from other schools. They had to choose their leaders and subgroups to work collaboratively to fulfill the design brief.
Our pupils did superbly, researching potential technologies and presentating their ideas to a large audience and panel of experts, who questioned them on their designs. Congratulations to Scarlett W, Molly B, Bibi D, and Erin P, who were part of the winning team!
Well done to all those involved, who showed fantastic teamwork and problem-solving capabilities.
