6-a-side Winners
26th May 2017

Yardley Court U10 Cricketers enjoyed a great day at the Sutton Valence 6 a-side tournament.

YC U10 A VI retained the Sutton Valence trophy with an excellent performance on a beautiful day. They made comfortable progress to the final where they put in a stellar performance against New Beacon. Scoring 66 in 5 overs with the excellent Frank and Rohan both retiring at 25. Thomas then produced a stunning double wicket maiden in the first over to end any hopes New Beacon had before they had even begun. Both wickets stumped with ripping, dipping, spinning leg breaks. Well done to Zach for finishing the job behind the stumps. New Beacon put in a spirited display for the final overs eventually finishing on 39.

The U10 B team also took part against other schools A teams and performed strongly just failing to make it an all YC final, losing narrowly in the semi-final to New Beacon A. On route to the semi-finals YC beat St Michaels, Ashford and tied with Holmewood House. Ted captained the side effectively and produced a couple of stylish innings with the bat. Harrison was impressive with the ball.

Well done to all of the boys who made vital contributions throughout the day; Frank, Cameron, Rohan, Thomas, Zach, Bear, Ted, Tom, Thomas, Harrison, Toby and George.
