Global Adventure
6th March 2017

Alastair Humphreys visited Year Two today to share his love of reading and writing. Alastair was inspired to travel after reading a “As I Walked Out One Midsummer Morning” by Laurie Lee. Since then, he has had so many adventures and has written about them in his “The Boy Who Biked The World” series and other books for children and adults. Year Two have enjoyed reading his stories and have starting working on story maps for their own tales of adventure.

Year Two enjoyed listening to Mr Humphreys talking about his adventures, looking at photos and videos along the way. He visited their classrooms to hear their work and shared some ideas about story writing to help develop their characters and plots. A wonderful morning. Thank you Mr Humphreys!
