• CEOP Command - The NCA's CEOP Command (formerly the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre) works with child protection partners across the UK and overseas to identify the main threats to children and coordinates activity against these threats to bring offenders to account. We protect children from harm online and offline, directly through NCA led operations and in partnership with local and international agencies.
  • Thinkuknow - Thinkuknow is an education programme from the National Crime Agency’s CEOP Command.  Since 2006, Thinkuknow has been keeping children and young people safe by providing education about sexual abuse and sexual exploitation. It is underpinned by the latest intelligence about child sex offending from CEOP Command.
  • Childnet - Childnet’s mission is to work in partnership with others around the world to help make the internet a great and safe place for children.  They work directly with children and young people from the ages of 3 to 18 on a weekly basis, as well as parents, carers, teachers and professionals, finding out about their real experiences online, and the positive things they are doing as well as sharing safety advice.
  • Parent Info - Parent Info provides high quality information to parents and carers about their children's well-being and resilience.
  • Common Sense Media - Common Sense is a leading independent non-profit organisation dedicated to helping children thrive in a world of media and technology. Unbiased information, useful advice and innovative tools are available to help parents harness the power of media and technology as a positive force in their children's lives.

  • The Dark Net by Jamie Bartlett (ISBN-13:978-0434023158) - Parents can be alarmed by the idea of the dark net, with its drugs marketplaces, pro-anorexia websites, sex and extremism. Here, Jamie Bartlett, who spent a year investigating it, suggests that parents ought to find out what happens on the dark side - and that we'll be much better able to help our children if we do.
