Welcome to The Schools at Somerhill Parents’ Association
The SSPA is an active and enthusiastic organisation and membership is open to all parents and/or guardians of pupils attending The Schools at Somerhill.
The SSPA host a variety of fun events throughout the year for children and their families in Somerhill’s magnificent grounds. Any funds raised are donated to the school and nominated charities.
We have a number of long standing members of the PA leaving us at the end of this year and next year, so we are actively looking for parents who enjoy getting involved in events and fundraising to help us.
You could help in 3 ways :
• Join the SSPA main committee team. We meet monthly and discuss forth coming events. There are also specific roles on the committee, for example PR coordinator, financial controller, class rep coordinator, as well as ordinary members.
• Join an event subcommittee. Would you like to get involved in an event but not be committed to the main PA? We run many events throughout the year. Our two main fairs, Summer and Christmas are aimed at providing a fun and relaxed afternoon for all three schools, whilst fundraising for our school projects as well as the charities we support. The other events we put on throughout the year have the sole aim to entertain and bring us all together socially.
• A spare pair of hands!! If you do not fancy joining a committee, but would like to get involved, please join our volunteer list. We are always looking for people to help in the lead up to the events to help get things ready and prepare for the event.
