The fees shown below are for the academic year 2017/18. Each academic year has three terms; Michaelmas, Lent and Summer.

Somerhill Pre-Prep

Pre-School 5 Morning sessions (8.30am-12.00pm) £ 765.20 - £1,640.00** per term

5 Morning sessions (8.30am-1.15pm) £1,075.20 - £1,950.00** per term

5 Afternoon sessions (12.00pm-3.30pm) £ 765.20 - £1,640.00** per term

Reception Class (after Free Early Education) £2,405.20** per term

Reception Class 5 Full Days (compulsory school age) £3,280 per term

Years One and Two £3,815 per term

Somerhill Pre-Prep is a registered provider of Free Early Education for 3 and 4 year olds. All 3 and 4 year olds (from the term following their 3rd birthday) are eligible to receive a maximum of 15 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year, regardless of parental income. Parents who do not use their full 15 hours may claim the difference through another registered provider. Parents only wishing to access 15 hours Free Early Education will be offered 5 sessions from 10.15am until 1.15pm subject to availability, until compulsory school age. The school reserves the right to withdraw from the scheme at any time and will endeavour to give one term’s notice of its intention.

** Depends on the length of term and number of full weeks eligible at 15 hours per week for Free Early Education and will be pro-rated depending on the number of sessions opted for. The lowest fee is for the Michaelmas Term and assumes full receipt of 15 hours maximum Free Early Education during specified sessions. Fees will be adjusted in arrears to reflect actual amounts paid by KCC and sessions attended.

Derwent Lodge Preparatory School for Girls

Years Three to Six £4,985 per term

Yardley Court Preparatory School for Boys

Years Three to Eight £5,055 per term

Fees are fully inclusive except for: Learning Support Tuition, Individual Music Tuition, Hire of Musical Instruments, Recreational and Overseas trips, Minibus Service to and from Somerhill, External Examination and Common Entrance Fees.

Sibling Discounts

There is a 5% reduction of fees for a second child on the Somerhill Campus and a 10% reduction for three or more children. Discounts reduce as the elder siblings leave Somerhill.

Payment of Fees

Fees are due for payment before the first day of term, unless otherwise agreed by separate contractual arrangement. The school reserves the right to levy a late payment charge on all fees unpaid after the first day of term. Fees are paid at the beginning of each term by Direct Debit or by separate arrangement under the School’s Termly Direct Debit Scheme. The school also operates an advance fees scheme. Withdrawal of Pupil

The agreement for the education of a pupil at the School may be terminated by giving a full term’s notice in writing or on payment to the school of a full term’s fees in lieu of such notice.
