The Schools at Somerhill are based in an historic Jacobean mansion, situated in 150 acres of stunning parkland.
But an extensive building programme over the last 15 years means that the Somerhill site is now much more than simply the original Jacobean mansion.
A multi purpose sports hall was completed in 2002 and complements the extensive playing fields, tennis courts and Astro pitch. A traverse climbing wall was installed in the summer of 2013 along the side of the Sports Hall.
A new block housing a dining hall and swimming pool was completed in 2009, built within in the confines of the original walled garden. The pool hosts many galas and is a vital component in the school's promotion of aquathlon and triathlon events.
Our latest initiative is the building of a new specialist music centre which was completed in the Michaelmas Term 2014. This development has also enabled us to enhance our specialist science and technology classrooms.
